Designer Shutters
Why should you have designer shutters in your house instead of conventional blinds? The answer is staring you right in the face: They just look better. Old-fashioned metal or plastic blinds are a standard, utilitarian way to limit the light coming into a house. That’s the problem: They’re standard and utilitarian. They ignore the potential of window treatments as design elements in a home. Beautiful shutters offer color and style to a space that could never be gained from dull slats of metal or plastic. Wood has many shades and textures that will go well in any space. For additional tones, there are stains and finishes. MDF can be colored to match the décor. If you can’t find the color that matches your imagination, shutters can always be painted. Instead of just dimming the light, shutters can work with their surroundings and contribute to a harmonious room décor. Instead of a single shape, you can use single folds, bi-folds or multi-folds. They can form an ensemble with the furniture, wall hangings and other features of the room. Designer shutters offer more possibilities than the bland, off-white, standard blinds. They can be made to fit unusual spaces, and their appeal can be enhanced with features such as louvers and folding panels. With their versatility, color and design potential, shutters bring something to a space that can’t be matched by any other window treatments. Blinds are just a window covering, but shutters can make those windows look great.
